PC security is something we all know about but don’t really consider as not many people have been hard hit by the dark web bandits that send out their evil software to do real damage, but a recent attack on one of our riding centres has changed that forever.
A ransomware attack on a riding centre saw their entire pc network destroyed in a matter of minutes with all files and data lost forever. The attack was initiated by a downloaded file and from thereon in the virus took hold encrypting all files across the network and all attached devices including USB sticks.
This is no longer small change as many of us hold a huge amount of information on our pcs and more often than not it is not backed up, secured and properly protected, so what do you need to do to keep yourself safe.
